1st Lt. Sterling Wall was assigned as the executive officer to Det. A-251 (Plei Djereng). He was lost in the crash of a UH-1C helicopter (serial #66-12526) that flew out of Polei Kient, near Pleiku Province. The aircraft crashed into a fast moving river.
