So much time has passed
This year will mark 40 years you have been gone. Not a day goes by that
you are not remembered and loved deeply by me. I hold our daughter Mary's hand and feel your presence. You know her hands are just like yours. She wears your wedding band everyday. Her smile is yours. You see, I look at her and see you. Our grandchildren are so wonderful, how proud of them you would be. I know you have prepared a place for me beside you. I think I have a few more miles to go before I sleep. Until then my love, my heart and my soul will always be with you. I miss growing old with you.
Peace my love. I am so proud of you. Linda

Farewell to an American Hero!
A final salute to a fellow West Pointer from another Vietnam veteran who remembers well his friend and classmate. As Cadets we were in the same Battalion for 4 years and I watched him develop into a fine athlete, a conscientious student and an exemplary leader. We were both assigned in Vietnam but our paths never crossed. I learned of his death only many, many years later.
