Last Known Activity
Capt. Thomas Custer served during the Civil War and continued his Army service up until his death.

In June 1876, he led Company C, 7th Cavalry Regiment.  He was killed during the fighting at the Little Big Horn.  His remains, initially buried on site, were exhumed and reinterred at Fort Levenworth, Kansas.
