Last Known Activity
Sgt. Snyder was serving with Recon Platoon, HHC, 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment. He was killed in action during Operation Barking Sands.

He left a young wife, Phyllis, at his passing, in Pennsylvania. They were married at Quantico, Virgina in September 1960 while he was serving at the Marine Corps Station, Quantico.

Sgt. Snyder was interred in Gettysburg National Cemetery, Pennsylvania.
