Jack was my roommate in flight school

Posted on 11/26/13 - by Charles "Charlie" Stephens
He loved doing things. We went to to Mardi Gras and made sever trips to Panama City to go fishing. When we graduated from flight school in 1970. We lost touch with each other, as he went to a different company than I.

Flight School Classmate
Jack Smith and I graduated from the US Army Aviation School at Fort Rucker Alabama, 10 March 1970. Ours was Rotary Wing Aviator Class 70-1. Jackie was an exceptional tactical pilot and young leader who inspired trust and courage from those who served with him. His early death serves as a constant reminder of the selfless sacrifices made by so many fine men and women to extend freedom to those who could not free themselves.
