Last Known Activity Captain Shereck was the pilot of an OV-1D ( W3155368) Oon a night reconnaissance mission who experienced the failure of both engines while on approach to Phu Bai. HIs observor was able to eject safely, but Captain Shereck's parachute failed to deploy and he crashed onto the tarmac.
He nterred in Silver Bay Cemetery, Silver Bay, Minnesota.
He had attended Flight class: 66-23/66-21. He served 2 tours in Vietnam, first as a helicopter pilot, then as a fixed wing pilot.
He was interred in Silver Bay Cemetery, Lake County, Minnesota.
