Last Known Activity

WO1 Eric Nordman graduated with Flight class: 66-1

On 8 August 1966, WO1 Nordman was a pilot aboard a UH-1D (#65-09675) searching for missing UH-1B (#65-09546). Found crashed with all 4 crewmen KIA..

While conducting the search it diverted to Oasis due to bad weather then flew into fog clouds; Returning to plantation near Pleiku at 2 am in heavy rain, hit ground while trying to follow a road to the base camp.. It is assumed the pilots experienced vertigo causing them to crash and burn.
