Last Known Activity
SFC Motte enlisted for the Philippines Department in 1939.

He served in WWII and Korea, and was killed on his last day in Vietnam on his second tour of duty.

He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader in Fayetteville NC.

SFC Motte was the son of Mrs. Beula Mae Green Motte and the late George David Motte, Sr. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Blanche Bernice Motte, Fayeteville; three sons, Wayne Douglas Motte and Melvin Allen Motte both of Fayetteville, and George David Motte, III, New Orleans., La.; three daughters, Karen Sue Motte and Gloria Frances Motte, both of Fayetteville, and Anna Marie Motte, New Orleans, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred M. Mitchell and Mrs. Gwendolyn R. Howle, both of Wilmington; and one brother, Thomas A. Motte, San Francisco, California.
