Comments/Citation Marvin Amiot was my mother's brother. I never met him, but I do remember his brothers and sisters talking about him a lot. The siblings lost one brother in WWII and one in Korea, neither has ever been forgotten.
8 of his 9 brothers served in the Armed Forces. His older brother, Lloyd, was KIA on Iwo Jima during WWII while serving in the 5th Marine Division, 27th Replacement Battalion/Draft. His brother, Harry, lost both his legs and part of one hand during the Battle of the Bulge and endured years of surgery afterwards. Another brother, Bert, landed on Omaha Beach during the D-Day landing.
Marvin was KIA in Korea 8 days prior to scheduled return back to the states.
As I find additional information, I will add it.
