Note From Profile Administrator:

Service Number:  109423796
Started Vietnam Tour:  04/14/1969
Volunteered to take the flight on which he was killed when he only had two weeks left to serve on his second tour in Vietnam. He was killed in the same helicopter crash that killed the pilot, Cpt Edmond D. Bilbrey Jr. (Fallen Member 40305), even though some records do not support this fact.

Information at virtualwall.org regarding the unit in which he served is incorrect and has been corrected on this profile. The 48th AHC was never part of the 223rd CABattalion, but always with the 10th CAB.

Short Summary: shot down in Laos during Operation Lan Son 719
Primary cause: Hostile Fire
Military grid coordinates of event: CLASSIF
