25 Mar 67 Richard E. LeGate Cpt 0-3, USASF, Spike Team, FOB 2 CCC, Kontum, Ops 35, KIA-RR (Cpt Legate was hit by an enemy round, which severed his femoral artery causing him to lose a large amount of blood. Legate became unconsciousness and died.)
