1st Lt. Noel Laplante served with the 135th Assault Helicopter Company.  He, his crew and passengers were  killed in the crash of  his UH-1H helicopter (#68-15568).  (See notes).

He'd attended Flight class: 70-22 .

First Lt. Noel LaPlante,24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred C. LaPlante of 739 Valleywood Dr. died April,4 in Vietnam when the helicopter he was piloting crashed on a combat mission.
