Last Known Activity
Prior to entering the service, Private Don Abernathey served with the CCC program in Montana. He joined the Army on 3 June 1941 at Fort Missoula, Treasure County, Montana.

In the P.I., he served with the 5th Chemical Company (Aviation), Chemical Service Corps, Far East Air Force.

He died while being held as a Prisoner of War by the Japanese  at Camp O'Donnel, Luzon, Philippines.
