PFC Kohr served with Company C, Second Battalion, 502nd Infantry of the 101st Airborne Division. He was killed in action while on perimeter guard.

He was interred in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

He had enlisted on 15 December 1965.
