  He was my friend
Posted for: RAY G JENKINS:
Ray was my friend. He was killed during a mortar attack in Tet 68, while running toward his Huey to get it off the ground. I was one of the medics who retrieved him and took him by ambulance to try to save his life. His loss was profound to me and is as strong today as it was then.
