SFC Hinnant was WIA on 18 January 1953 in North Korea.

SFC Benjamin Lowell Hinnant, U.S. Army, {RA14381060}, Vietnam War -SFC Hinnant was killed in a firefight with the enemy during Operation TOAN Thang on 5-6-1968 while serving as a Light Weapons Infantryman with Co. A, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Sgt. Hinnant started his tour of Vietnam on 12-8-1967. SFC Hinnant is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Hardy Hinnant of 767 South Goldsboro Street, Wilson, North Carolina, and the Beloved husband of Mrs. Lillie L. Hinnant of 4865 Connor Road, Columbus, Georgia.
