SFC Robert Lee Henderson, Korean War Veteran, Vietnam War Veteran, Native of Spring Lake, North Carolina.

Sergeant First Class Robert Lee Henderson was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SFC Henderson served our country until June 15th, 1970 in Cambodia. He was 37 years old and was married. It was reported that Robert died from small arms fire. His body was recovered. Robert was born on January 19th, 1933 in Spring Lake, North Carolina. SFC Henderson is on panel 09W, line 056 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.

He served as a Sergeant First Class with Detachment A-413, Delta Company, 5th Special Forces Group, USARV.

He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge 2nd Award(CIB), The Silver Star Medal, The Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Korean Service Medal, The Korean Defense Medal, The United Nations Service Medal, Paratrooper Jump Wings, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal and The National Defense Service Medal with Devices, The Air Medal with Multiple Oak Leaf Clusters  and The Good Conduct Medal with Devices.
