Last Known Activity
Captain Mike Grisafe and his Technical Observer, SP4 Noel F. Josephs were lost while conducting an Aerial Surveillance night mission in an OV-1C (Tail# 67-18914)  near the three corners area NW of Pleiku  (in Kontum Province, South Vietnam). They crashed into a mountain where their remains were later discovered.

Both men were members of the 225th Aviation Company (Aerial Surveillance).

He had served in Germany commanding a border camp on the Federal Republic of Germany border with East Germany and in the Canal Zone in 1967-1968.

He was trained as a fixed wing pilot at Fort Hunter and Fort Stewart following his assignment in Germany.


He was interred in Queen of Heaven Cemetery,  Rowland Heights, Los Angeles County, California.
