Last Known Activity
SP5 Don Grella participated in the Battle of the Ia Drang Valley in November 1965.

He served as the crew chief aboard a UH-1D (# 63-08808) when it went down between An Khe base and Qui Nhon. At that time, the crew was listed as MIA>

Their remains were found in 2009, and repatriated.

SP5 Donald Grella was interred in Laurel Cemetery,  Laurel, Cedar County, Nebraska.
