Last Known Activity
Captain Roger Gauvin was the aircraft commander of a UH-1B (tail number 62-01963) that was shot down killing all four crewmen and one passenger . It crashed 13 KM South of Gai Rai Village, Bac Lieu Province, RVN.

Crew lost:
Capt Roger E. Gauvin (AC)
1st Lt. Kenneth A. Shannon (P)
SP5 Carleton W. Upton (CE)
PFC Frank J. Holguin (G)

He was interred in Holy Rosary Cemetery (Old,) Caribou, Aroostook County, Maine, Plot: Sec F Lot 55.

He left a wife and five children at his passing.
