Comments/Citation
SFC Dumas was assigned as a JROTC Instructor for four years in the Atlanta area prior to being assigned to Vietnam.

He was seriously wounded by artillery/mortar fire in North Korea in December, 1950, and was evacuated to the US, where he later returned to full duty.  In Korea he was assigned to the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division.
