Last Known Activity
Sergeant Vincent Thomas Daiello served as an infantryman in 2nd Platoon of C Company, 5th Battalion, 46th Infantry Regiment (The Professionals), 198th Infantry Brigade, Americal (23rd) Division, United States Army Vietnam and was twenty four years old when he made the ultimate sacrifice in the Quang Ngai province of South Vietnam.
His name is located on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in Washington, DC at coordinates 36W 049.
Sergeant Daiello was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, NY on January 4, 1969.
1LT Thomas Gary Sikes and Sergeant Daiello died within seconds of each other in the same ambush.
