Last Known Activity
WO Cole attended army basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana after enlisting in October 1968. He received his basic flight school training at Fort Wolters and advanced at Fort Rucker, Alabama. (Flight class: 69-49/69-47) .

He was a pilot of a UH-1H (tail number 68-16375) (C/158/101) based out of LZ Sally that was lost on a resupply mission to FSB Ripcord when it was shot down.  The sole survivor was the crew chief by the name of Easterling.
