 Additional Information
Last Known Activity

In April 1943, after several months of tough training, the troopers deployed to the Mediterranean Theater to take part in the campaign to invade Sicily.

The 325th regiment deployed to North Africa first, but was not committed to combat until they conducted a landing at Salerno, Italy, on 15 September 1943. It was not, however, by glider, but by landing craft.
