Last Known Activity
According to source, he was injured along with other men in an accidental firing on his platoon due to a plotting error. The platoon was setting up their night perimeter defense at the time.

Anthony Arthur Brese was born June 30, 1948 and his home of record was Blasdell, New York. He attended St. Francis Parochial School in Hamburg, New York and then attended Buffalo State College and Canisius College and planned to be a teacher. He was drafted prior to beginning his third year of college. 

While in Vietnam, he served with the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry of the 101st Airborne Division. 

Anthony died of wounds received during a "friendly fire" incident on Christmas Eve in 1970 which killed several members of his unit. He died the day after Christmas.

He was survived by his parents, Anthony and Laura (Michalski) Brese; four brothers, Stanley, James, Stephan, Paul and a sister Roseanne. 

His funeral was held at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church and he was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lackawanna, New York.
