A great man and a true leader. I served with Lt Booth in the 577th Engineers in 67-68, RVN. I only learned of his death a few years ago and am deeply saddened. I paid my respects at his grave at West Point. If he has relatives who see this, know he was greatly admired by those who proudly served with him

Doug was my XO in D Co., 577th Engr Bn, 18th Engr Bde in 1967. He took command when I had to take over another Co. on a moment's notice. He was always fair, always the leader, and always a brave man who took care of his own. See you on the other side my brother.

Doug worked for me at Ft. Belvoir prior to his trip to RVN. He was a great soldier, and I admired his Professionalism, his dedication to duty, and his hard work. He was Be All You Can Be.
