Son of George A. Arner and Husband of Alma Scott Arner. Employed As Funeral Director With His Father's (Arner's) Funeral Home.Commisioned a Medical Officer on 10 July 1942 at Camp Lee, Virginia. Killed in Action in Italy While Serving With The 3rd Chemical Mortar Battalion. Lt. Arner Was In a House Being Used as HQ For The Battalion When it Was Bombed By a German Fighter-Bomber.
