Last Known Activity
At his death, he was serving with Troop B, Company K, 1st U.S. Cavalry Regiment.  He had enlisted from Denver, Colorada in 1887. Reenlisted again at Fort Yellowstone, Wyoming 1892, and then in 1897 at Fort Riley.  Character Very good.

He was killed in action in the Battle of La Quasina de Cuba on 24 July 1898, which occurred near Santiago, Cuba.

Note:  His mother, Anna, received a pension based on his service beginning in 1912.
