Raymond Bailey was my RTO (Radio Telephone Operator) for 1st Platoon, Company B, 1st of the 18th Infantry Regiment. He was killed in the mountain region West of Na Trang,  Viet Nam.  The Viet Cong had booby trapped a ChiCom Claymore Mine.   His death was instant.  He was next to me when the mine detonated.
