Casualty Occurrence: See below

On a night mission, flares were deployed and aircraft exploded in flight, 5km south of Trang Bang. Sgt. Apodaca was serving as a gunner aboard a UH-1H (#67-19531) that was brought down by an RPG killing all 5 crewmen and 2 passengers.
