Last Known Activity
Sgt. Manning was captured 1 December 1950 while serving with an Army Medical Company, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was captured during the fightingin the Kunnu-ri Gauntlet near the Chongchon River, Korea.

He died while being held a POW from medical neglect six months later. He died at Camp 5 in Pyokdong, North Korea.

His remains were accounted for on 26 August 2014.
