Last Known Activity

Corporal Altizer was a member of Company D, 2nd BN, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. On October 8, 1969, he was participating in a river crossing operation in Phuoc Binh Province, Sough Vietnam, when the boat in which he was riding capsized and he drowned. His remains were not recovered.
