Cpl. Lindsey Lockett enlisted at Fort Ord, California on 5 December 1945. (from ancestry.com)

In Korea, he served with Medical Detachment, Headquarters Battery, 503rd Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.

During the Chinese onslaught and withdrawal of the 2nd Division, Cpl Lockett was one of many men taken prisoner by the Chinese.  He went missing on  1 December 1950 in the Kun-ri Gauntlet area, Chongchon River, North Korea.

He died as a prisoner on 31 May 1951, possibly at POW Camp 5 on the Yalu River.

His remains were accounted for on 26 January 2015.
