Last Known Activity

CW2 Alexander was commissioned 19 Jul 1966, Flight class: 66-9W. Fort Rucker, Alabama..He attended the University of Maryland and Indiana State University prior to entering the Armed Forces in 1958. 

He was killed accidentally in a struggle to remove a live grendade from a soldier on base. (Based on CID report). He graduated from North Salem High School in 1956.
   
Comments/Citation

He graduated from the U.S. Army 4 year College courses in Omaha, NE , and served 2 hitches in Korea and 3 in Viet Nam. He attended the University of Maryland and Indiana State University prior to entering the Armed Forces in 1959. He received his commission at Ft. Rucker, Alabama.

Surviving are: The widow, Dorothy Alexander, Mineral Wells, Texas; his son, Robert Alexander, Hazelton, Pennsylvania; Goldie Siedentop and daughter, Mary Lee Nagal, Knox; Mozell and Ann Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. Shirrel Alexander, all of North Salem; Donald and Walter Hines, Wesley Wainwright, Lizton.
