SGT ROY "OSCAR" CARRICO JR. ENTERED THE SERVICE ON 12 JANUARY 1943. SGT CARRICO WAS ASSIGNED TO BATTERY B, 548TH ANTI-AIRCARFT ARTILLERY AUTOMATIC WEAPONS BATTALION (MOBILE) WHICH WAS ASSIGNED TO THE 102ND INFANTRY DIVISION. CARRICO SERVED IN EUROPE FROM 3 APRIL 1945 TO 21 MARCH 1946. UPON ARRIVING BACK IN THE STATES SGT CARRICO WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT MEADE, MARYLAND ON 4 APRIL 1946. OSCAR CARRICO PASSED AWAY ON 1 APRIL 1990 AND WAS LAID TO REST AT THE COURTLAND CEMETERY IN TUCKER COUNTY, WV.
