Last Known Activity

First Lieutenant Williams enlisted on 17 August 1940 with the Coast Artllery Corps at Detroit, Michigan with 4 years of high school.

His last enlistment date was 16 December 1948.

In Korea, He was a member of L Company, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division.
At the time of his death, he was serving with the 76th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatioc Weapons Battalion (Self-Propelled SP) which was an all-Black unit during the Korean War, Korea.  This was a non-divisional anti-aircraft artillery unit.

He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on 31 December 1950.



Lt. Williams was buried at Riverside Cemetery (Block 120, Lot 2), Albion, Calhoun County, Michigan.
