HE WAS EMPLOYED AS A STOCK MANAGER PRIOR TO SERVICE. SGT BARKER SERVED IN EUROPE (UNKNOWN TIME OR UNIT). HE HAD ATTNEDED AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SCHOOL IN COLOMBUS, OHIO AND LAST SERVED WITH 1074TH AAF BASE UNIT AT FORT GEORGE WRIGHT, WASHINGTON. SGT BARKER WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 5 DECEMBER 1945 AT FORT GEORGE WRIGHT AND SHORTLY LATER MARRIED EUNICE CAROL PILGER IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON. CHARLES BARKER PASSED AWAY IN ODESSA, WASHINGTON ON 8 JULY 2002.
