Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was born in Oswego, New York. He entered the U.S. Army in Chicago, Illinois. He served as a Private in Company A, 7th U.S. Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action on June 25, 1876 at Little Big Horn, Montana. His citation reads "Brought water for the wounded under a most galling fire."
