Capt. Wray E. Dudley was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 16 March 1914, the son of an electrical engineer, Wray Dudley, Sr.

He was a student at  the University of Oklahoma in 1941. He married his wife, Lois, in December 1941, in Oklahoma.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps as an Aviation Cadet from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 15 March 1941. (He listed his entry on Active Duty as of 19 December 1941.) Home of record at entry was McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

Then Lt. Dudley completed Airplane Mechanic School at Sheppard Field in 1943, followed by attending the Flight Engineering School in 1943. (Note: No other details of service.)

He was honorably discharged on 2 March 1946 at Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania.   He had No overseas duty as noted on the Pennsylvania WWII Compensation Form filed in 1950.

He passed away in Arizona in 2006. His wife, Lois White Dudley, passed away in 2012 in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.
