PFC Jesus Castro enlisted on 8 February 1951.

He was killed in action while serving with Company L, 3rd Battalion,  8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division near Cherwon, North Korea. He had been wounded the first time on 5 August 1951.

He was buried in Barranca de Los Otates, Jalisco, Mexico.
