Born and raised in Delano, California, Napoleon enlisted on 6 April 1950. Assigned to the 24th Infantry Regiment, one of four U.S. Infantry regiments comprised of black soldiers. He was seriously wounded and Died of Wounds as a result of missile fire received in action.
Burial: Union Cemetery, Bakersfield. Plot: Block 1115, Plot 5.

Note: Private Bradley’s headstone lists his year of birth as 1931. His mother, Edna Bradley corrected the mistake on the Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, but was not corrected on the headstone.
