PRIVATE PAUL DOUGLAS FOWLER SON OF OSCAR AND MAZIE FOWLER AND HUSBAND OF MARTHA FOWLER WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON 22 MARCH 1945. PVT FOWLER SERVED WITH THE 2017TH ORDNANCE MAINTENANCE COMPANY, USAAF WHICH WAS STATIONED ON THE ISLAND OF BIAK, OFF THE COAST OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA. PVT FOWLER WAS LAID TO REST AT THE ROSEDALE CEMETERY IN MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA.
