PRIVATE FIRST CLASS HERMAN BENJAMIN EVIX SON OF ARTHUR AND GURNA LEA EVIX WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON 12 AUGUST 1944 IN FRANCE. PFC EVIX SERVED WITH COMPANY "K" 110TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 28TH INFANTRY DIVISION.  HE WAS LAID TO REST AT THE MT. HEBRON CEMETERY NEAR VOLGA WEST VIRGINIA.
