SERGEANT MONZEL BARKER SON OF CLYDE BARKER OF FLEMINGTON WEST VIRGINIA WAS KILLED IN ACTION IN HURTGEN FOREST ON 30 MARCH 1945. SGT BARKER SERVED WITH THE 33RD ARMORED REGIMENT, 3RD ARMORED DIVISION. MONZEL WAS A COAL MINER BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE.
