TECHNICIAN FIFTH CLASS RALPH HANSEL WIMER WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON D-DAY 6 JUNE 1944. HE SERVED WITH "E" COMPANY 2ND BATTALION, 506TH P.I.R., 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION.  T/5 WIMER WAS ON C-47 #66 WHICH CRASHED IN FRANCE WITH 16 MEMBERS OF EASY COMPANY ABOARD INCLUDING THEIR C.O. LT THOMAS MEEHAN III AND 5 CREW MEMBERS.

Steven Spielberg's Band of Brothers. Graduate of Circleville High School class of 1939. Engaged to be married to Miss Naomi H. Lambert of Huntington.
Son of Pinckney Brady Wimer and Lillie Mae Wimer.
