Last Known Activity
Cpl. Ona D. Eye served with the U.S. Army Air Forces 803rd Engineer Battalion, Aviation. His unit landed in the P.I. in October 1941 to construct air fields.  His unit was initially at Fort Stotensburge, near Clark Army Air Field when the Japanese attacked.

When first reported as a POW of the Japanese, 7 May 1942, he was in PW Camp #1 - Cabanatuan 1-2-3 Nueva Province Luzon Philippines 15-121.

He died: 12-Aug-42  and was listed as Missing in Action or Buried at Sea Tablets of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery Manila, Philippines Awards:
