PRIVATE FIRST CLASS OLIE LEO ARBOGAST WAS A TRUCK DRIVER BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 23 MARCH 1944. HE SERVED IN EUROPE WITH COMPANY "B" 286TH ENGINEER COMBAT BATTALION FROM 2 NOVEMBER 1944 TO 3 SEPTEMBER 1945. ON 30 DECEMBER 1945 PFC ARBOGAST WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT MEADE MARYLAND. ON 17 JANUARY 1952 OLIE ARBOGAST WAS SEVERLY INJURED IN A SLATE FALL AT THE DONEGAN COAL MINE NEAR RICHWOOD WEST VIRGINIA HE PASSED FROM HIS INJURIES THE NEXT DAY, 18 JANUARY 1952. OLIE ARBOGAST WAS LAID TO REST AT THE ROSEHILL CEMETERY IN THOMAS WEST VIRGINIA.
