PRIVATE FIRST CLASS HARRY H. ALLENDER WAS A BOILER FIREMAN BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 19 JANUARY 1943. HE SERVED IN EUROPE WITH BATTERY "C" 548TH ANTI-AIRCRAFT ARTILLERY (AUTOMATIC WEAPONS) BATTALION FROM 30 SEPTEMBER 1944 TO 27 DECEMBER 1945. ON 10 JANUARY 1946 PFC ALLENDER WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT MEADE MARYLAND. HARRY ALLENDER PASSED AWAY IN MAY OF 1979 IN YORKTOWN VIRGINIA. WOUNDED IN GERMANY ON 23 FEB 1945.
