SERGEANT GLENN NICHOLAS FANKHAUSER WORKED AS A MACHINISTS HELPER BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 27 NOVEMBER 1942. HE SERVED WITH TROOP "B" 41ST CAVALRY RECONNAISSANCE SQUADRON (MECHANIZED), 11TH ARMORED DIVISION IN EUROPE FROM 9 OCTOBER 1944 TO 13 DECEMBER 1945. SGT FANKHAUSER WAS WOUNDED ON 25 APRIL 1945 NEAR REGEN GERMANY. ON 30 DECEMBER 1945 SGT FANKHAUSER WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT MEADE MARYLAND. GLENN FANKHAUSER PASSED AWAY ON 3 JANUARY 2003 IN FRANKLIN OHIO.
