TECHNICIAN FORD FINK WAS A CLERK AT THE GOVERNMENT LAND OFFICE NEAR PARSONS WEST VIRGINIA BEFORE ENLISTING ON 29 OCTOBER 1942 AND WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE ERC UNTIL 15 FEBRUARY 1943. T/4 FINK SERVED IN THE STATES UNTIL 19 NOVEMBER 1944 WHEN HE WAS SENT TO THE PACIFIC THEATRE. FINK WAS ASSIGNED TO COMPANY "D" 1759TH ENGINEERS SPECIAL SHOP BATTALION (BOAT CONSTRUCTION) UNTIL 11 JUNE 1945. ONCE BACK IN THE U.S. T/4 FINK SERVED SEVERAL MORE MONTHS BEFORE BEING HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 28 SEPTEMBER 1945. FORD FINK PASSED AWAY 10 MAY 1989 IN MONTROSE WEST VIRGINIA.
